Rocky Ridge Gundog is owned and managed by myself, Maggie, and my Irish husband, Liam. We’ve been breeding German Shorthaired Pointers since 2009, raising them on our deep-countryside farm alongside horses and livestock. While we’ve always been immersed in rural life, working with animals, tending the land, and appreciating the outdoors, our true devotion lies with this remarkable breed. Breeding German Shorthaired Pointer isn’t just a hobby; it’s our way of life. …Our German Shorthaired Pointer puppies are raised in the heart of our home, not in kennels, but on our sprawling farm, where they have room to run, explore, and grow alongside our horses and livestock. We believe in letting puppies be puppies: they dig, splash through puddles, chase leaves, and learn from their surroundings, always under watchful eyes.
Their mother stays with them until they leave us (except for her well-earned breaks!), teaching them the nuances of canine communication and boundaries. Each pup receives individual attention, early neurological stimulation, and exposure to farm life, tractor noises, livestock, children, and other animals, so they’re prepared for anything. Our puppy “adventure zones” are designed to spark their natural instincts, whether it’s tracking scents, climbing over logs, or splashing in shallow water.
